Is Manifesting a Sin

With the law of attraction and manifestation becoming very popular, there are lots of people looking to learn about these methods and how they work, and one of the most popular questions is about manifestation and whether using it is sinful, so let’s answer that now.

Is manifesting a sin?

Manifesting is not a sin, the devils work, or witchcraft, it is simply a tool used to manifest desired things and circumstances into reality. But as with most tools it’s how they are used that defines them. If manifestation is used for the good of all people involved then there is nothing wrong with that, but if manifestation is being used in a harmful or evil way then in this instance it is sinful to use it.

So, the question really isn’t is manifesting a sin, but rather can manifesting be used in a sinful way and if so how, and what would the repercussions be of using it like this, and would it be dangerous for the person doing so? Let’s answer these questions now.

Can manifesting be sinful?

Manifestation can be sinful if the desired outcome is to control other people or situations in a harmful or negative way. For example, trying to manipulate and control others without their own knowledge or consent. But again, remember it is not the manifestation process itself that is sinful, but rather the intention behind it.

Ultimately practicing manifestation is a scientific process that works regardless of whether you believe in it or not, so whether it is sinful or not, all comes down to intention, meaning if you are using manifestation to do good and positive things, then it is a good thing, but if you use it to do bad things to harm others or yourself, then it is a bad thing. So it is a personal choice, but trying to manifest harm to others is a really bad idea, here is why…

Trying to manifest harm to others is a sin and will very likely have severe consequences for the person trying to do it. The universe or God (if you believe in God) is not going to sit back and allow anyone to use manifestation to harm other people, without repercussions.

The law of attraction clearly states that like attracts like, it says that we will attract things into our life that are the same as things in our minds (what we think about) so by putting bad thoughts and bad intentions into our mind we will attract negative things into our life, and vice versa.

So if someone is trying to use manifestation to harm others, or trying to use manifestation at the expense of others, this will cause a lot of problems for them (the person manifesting) in the long term, because the law of attraction is not just going to ignore their bad intentions, their bad thoughts so to speak, and will start to punish them for having them, by drawing the negative things they are thinking about to them, another way of looking at this is that they are creating bad karma. So, in short, trying to manifest harmful things will harm the person doing it, more than those whom you are trying to harm.

So, all in all it is not a good idea to try and use manifestation to harm others, it’s better to use manifestation to help, to do positive things, and to work for the greater good.

Now you may be asking yourself at this stage, but what if someone is making my life hard, what am I supposed to do then?

How to use manifestation without being sinful

The way to do this is to think about the situation that you want to change and imagine it as the way you would like it to be, but in a way that is for the good of everybody and doesn’t harm anyone.

For example, if someone is causing you trouble, or is being abusive, instead of just thinking how you want them gone, think how you want the relationship between yourself and them to be, how would you like it if that person was kind and caring, showed your gratitude and respected you and your views.

Keep visualizing the situation being different than it is, in a way that is positive and good for everyone, without having a negative thought about it. This will send out the right kind of signals to the universe and help bring the situation into a positive and good one.

The universe does not work based on one person’s gain at the expense of another person’s loss, it does not work on the basis of punishment and reward, it works on the basis of what is best for everyone involved and that is the way it should be.

So, when you are trying to use manifestation in your life to get something that you want or to change something that you don’t like, see if you can use it to change the situation in a way that benefits everyone involved and only then will the manifestation work the way you want it to.

Is manifesting the same as praying?

No, they are two separate things, although they do have some similarities.

Manifesting is more about mentally focusing your thoughts on getting something, or changing something in your life, praying is more about getting in touch with the Divine and asking for help and guidance from him to help you in your life.

Or you could think of it like this, both manifesting and praying are attempts to communicate with the universe, or God (if you believe in God) but they are used for different things and they have different outcomes.

Prayer is used to communicate with the Divine, to ask for help, and to talk to God or whatever you believe the Divine to be, praying to the Divine does not always bring forth the things that you are praying for, but it does bring forth things that are for your benefit, whether you realize it or not.

Manifesting is used to communicate with the universe via the law of attraction to get things and circumstances into a desired form.

So, prayer is surrendering yourself to a higher power and asking them to guide your life in the right direction, whereas manifesting is taking control of your life and changing things to the way you want them to be. Both can be useful, but again, the intention behind them is what matters most.

Is manifesting a bad thing?

No, manifesting is not a bad thing per say, and it is not a sin, but people can try to use it in bad way, as we have learned above.

In fact you use manifestation in a positive and helpful way for the benefit of yourself and others, it can be a really good thing, for example if you wanted to manifest more money for yourself, to give you more financial freedom and more choices in your life, you could use it for that, but you could also use it to manifest more money for people who need it more than you do, such as homeless charities and so on, and in this way it is a really good thing to do, and can be a really good feeling and experience.

Or let’s imagine you are working in an organization and you use manifestation to bring new clients and customers to the company and these new clients and customers are a good thing for the company and for everyone who works there, then you are manifesting for the right reasons and that is not a bad thing.

Ultimately, if you use manifestation to do good things then it is not a bad thing, but if you use manifestation in a bad way, or to do bad things then it is a bad thing.

Remember the way manifestation and the law of attraction functions is by bringing things into your life that you are vibrating at a frequency that is in resonance with those things, so if you are thinking about bad things and trying to bring harm into reality, then the law of attraction will bring more of that into your life in the way of negative things and situations, but if you are using positive thinking and positive thoughts good things will come into your life.

Is manifestation dangerous?

In short, no. manifestation is not dangerous as long as you use it in a positive way, with good intentions, in fact it can be very beneficial. But if you are trying to use manifestation to hurt others or yourself, then it can be dangerous, just like anything else that is used in a bad way.

But what if I am not spiritual?

If you are not a spiritual person, then you are probably not going to believe in the law of attraction or the manifestation process, but that does not mean that it does not exist, or that it won’t work for you.

One respect works in the same way as gravity, in that you do not need to be able to understand what gravity is in order for it to work, it’s a law of nature that is there whether you believe it or not, which is the case with the law of attraction and manifestation, the fact is you are manifesting all the time but by learning how the manifestation process works you could use it to your own benefit more effectively.

But what if you are a Christian, is it okay to use manifestation? Let’s take a look at this question now.

Is manifesting allowed in Christianity?

Yes, I believe manifesting is allowed in Christianity, if it is being to do good things. Christians can use it to help other people, by visualizing things for their benefit, the good of mankind, the world in general and everything it contains.

The principle of manifestation is a part of the law of attraction, and it is a part of nature and creation, and if you believe in God, then one way to look at the law of attraction is to say that it is something that God put in place to help people in their lives.

Manifestation and the law of attraction is a part of the way the universe works, and we are already a part of the universe so are already manifesting all the time, whether we realise it or not.

So, it is only natural for Christians to use manifestation and the law of attraction, and to use it for theirs and other peoples benefit, to live a better, happier and healthier life.

With that said let’s see what the Bible has to say about manifestation.

What does the bible say about manifestation?

The bible and its meaning are of course up for discussion and interpretation, as is the meaning of what God and Lord Jesus Christ say in it, so I can only comment on my interpretation of the text and what it means to me, so here are some bible verses that I believe allude to manifestation.

“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. – Matthew 7:7-8

“According to your faith, shall it be done to you.” – Matthew 9:29

“And all things, whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.” – Matthew 21:22

“Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it.”

John 14:13-14

“If thou can believe, all things are possible, to him that believeth.” – Mark 9.23

“According to your faith let it be done to you” (Matthew 9:29 NIV)

Fix your eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” – Corinthians 4:18

All the above versus from the bible could allude to the manifestation process in that they require faith, belief, and to ask for or want the things you are trying manifest forth into physical being.

Final thoughts on manifestation

So, is manifestation a sin? No, manifestation is not a sin witchcraft or the devils work as long as it’s used with good intentions and for the good of everyone and everything that would be affected by the outcome, so do not be afraid to use manifestation to do good things in the world, and to help yourself and others to live a better life, after all, we are all one, and we are all part of the universe, so when you use manifestation to bring positive things into physical reality for your own benefit, it benefits everyone else in the long run.
