A Bit about Mindset Monkey

The Mission

I created this blog to share my journey into personal development and in turn, hopefully help anyone who is also on a similar journey and looking to develop into the best version of themselves.

My Story

Since childhood I have been passionate about what makes us who we are, and act the way we do. This has lead me down a path through my life of doing many studies and reading a great many books on anything to with mindset and personal development.

I am in my mid forties now but I clearly remember getting my first personal development book at the age of 17, which I stumbled across by accident in my local bookstore.

In those days, “Self Help“ or “Personal Development“ wasn’t at all mainstream so there was literally about two small shelves of books to choose from and the book I chose was called TNT – The Power Within You, by Claude M. Bristol. I didn’t know it at the time, but it was a very early book on the law of attraction (before it was even known as that and the term was made popular by The Secret). I actually think TNT is a better book too, but that’s a story for another day.

Anyway, after reading TNT I was hooked! What other fascinating things were out there for me to learn about I thought? Roll on nearly 30 years and I have had studied with great passion everything from LOA, NLP, Body Language, Persuasion, Sociology, Meditation, Mindset, Mental Illness, Addiction, and read literally hundreds of books on these and many more subjects. Anything to do with our minds and how we think I have to know about it!

So I thought why not create a blog to share my journey going forward, so if you are anyone else reading it finds it useful, helpful or entertaining then my job is done here!

Thanks for visiting I sincerely hope you enjoy your time here.

Best

Jon
